The Recess Bell

Hear the tingling of the bells ?
May be fire, may be church,
may be the cattle,
or is it the recess bell ! .... (1)

Full of messages : brings the recess bell to us
the sweet though of play,
To murmur about and stray.
Once the recess bell rings,
It's time to make the elephants bray .... (2)

The tune of the recess bell; may be soothing
may be rugged.
But it lifts the kids to heights like Everest.
It makes them neglect oneself
Forget about studies; ask to yourself ... (3)

But it's not the last hour
The soft bell now sounds terrible
Again comes the bell which is greeted with fury.
As we enter the class, with faces all shrinked,
The man who rings is never sorry. ...(4)

Solitude

Feelings of a bird
Aim to reach, nothing !
Feelings of a castaway
moving in the sea for shore,
It is nothing but solitude.

Solitude, but perfect in itself
Enchanted by the tune of nothing save silence
Washed by the floods of reality.

Solitude, a company with truth
Solitude, a company with self
Solitude, a company with god
Or is it an unearthly company ?

Sun

Creeping over the hillside
causing the twilight,
Breaking the darkness of night,
Starting a bright, new day.
It is the sun which causes the same .... (1)

Nature rises from long night sleep,
Farmers reach the fields to reap,
Rivers glow as they never did before
Children scatter the pebbles near the shore .... (2)

Slowly, slowly the sun reaches zenith,
the earth seeks someone to play with,
Cool breeze of morning change to loo,
Blind too perceives it is noon .... (3)

Golden streaks change to bright, red rays
As the sorcerer sun gives its way
Foxes in the jungle start to roar,
Till the sun in seen no more .... (4)
